Kiwanis Volunteers Help Deliver Meals-on-Wheels
Each day Meals-on-Wheels, the largest volunteer network in America, delivers more than a million meals to seniors struggling with hunger. Along with those meals, Meals-on-Wheels volunteers deliver cheerful greetings and in some cases provide a much needed social contact to senior clients. Our Kiwanis Club volunteers help with the delivery of meals in our area on Thursdays. Working as teams, each pair of volunteers spends about two hours on their scheduled delivery day, taking a turn every few weeks. All of the Kiwanians who work with Meals-on-Wheels feel the satisfaction and reward that comes from helping this wonderful organization. For more information about Meals-on- Wheels, click here.
