Kiwanis Helps BBQ at Little League Opening Day - 2/25/17
Opening Day is a day for hope and optimism for ballplayers and fans of all ages. As G.A.G. Kiwanis is always hoping to build up a partnership between our club and the most important organizations in our community, it seemed only natural to serve hot dogs and hamburgers for the first day of the Little League season.
Allied Gardens Little Leaguers, parents, coaches and volunteers went all-out for Opening Day, with several booths selling food, souvenirs, and raffle tickets.
Kiwanis members John Chandler and Dave Erlanson worked the grill, while George Butterstein, Valerie and John Crawford, Tony and Mary Haas, Mary Markson, Kevin Tostado, Kathy Wiskur, Norm Townsend and Dan Yelvington helped beneath the Kiwanis canopy.
It was a good opportunity for Kiwanis members to get outside in the sun, support their community, and try to publicize our club at the same time. We love supporting the Allied Gardens Little League.
