John Chappell - 35 Years of Service

We are proud of our valued member, John Chappell, who has been honored by Kiwanis International with a Legion of Honor Certificate to honor his 35 years of service with the Grantville-Allied Gardens Kiwanis. The Legion of Honor is a fellowship of Kiwanis members who have made the greatest commitment to our organization. 

John is a member of our organization who has raised his family in Allied Gardens, and who is now helping to ensure that his grandchildren grow up in a loving environment as well. This is somebody who continues to brighten our spirits each week with his sense of humor, as well as his sense of irony. After retiring from his position with the Hospice a few years ago, he is now free to be a grandparent, to volunteer for the San Diego Zoo, and to visit some of America’s Greatest National Parks.

John is a Past President of our club, after joining us for the first time in June of 1981, and we hope that he will continue to be a part of our organization for many years to come!
