We had the pleasure of indulging in a delectable dinner courtesy of our newest member, Sancta Corrao, whose culinary prowess shone through in her special meatloaf and gravy. Her enthusiasm and remarkable culinary skills left us thoroughly grateful.

In lieu of our usual meeting next Thursday, we'll convene at McGregor’s restaurant on San Diego Mission Road at 5:30 to commemorate February 29th! It marks the four-year anniversary since we last gathered on this date, unknowingly on the brink of the COVID pandemic. Despite the challenges, we've persevered, and the prospect of reuniting with friends fills us with joy.

Tonight, Danielle Iwatsu took on the dual roles of Kiwanian of the Day and our guest speaker. She kicked off with our beloved Happy Dollars tradition, sharing uplifting moments from our lives. Adding a touch of humor, she entertained us with Dad Riddles, eliciting laughter and a few groans. (For instance: What’s faster: hot or cold? Answer: Hot because you can catch cold!) Our members also joined in the fun, challenging Danielle with their own riddles, fostering a delightful atmosphere among good friends.

With the impending closure of our Kiwanis website, which has been our digital hub since 2013, Danielle has graciously volunteered to develop a new one. She's dedicated countless hours to migrating our data, and the new site will go live next week. Tonight, she provided a tutorial on member registration and showcased the array of features the new site offers. From emailing to event scheduling, payment processing, and information sharing, Danielle's expertise ensures we'll smoothly navigate the online realm. We're immensely grateful for her invaluable support.
