Happy New Year....  in October?  That's right, Kiwanis starts its calendar on October 1st, so new club officers take over, while the previous year's officers get to step down and show their gratitude for others.

The Kiwanis Clubs of Division 21 got together on Saturday, September 30th to show their appreciation for outgoing Lt. Governor Alan Young, a member of the Grantville-Allied Gardens Kiwanis Club.  Alan handed out a number of awards, including the Gene Elmore Interclub Award, which went to our club and Grantville-Allied Gardens President Vic Enchelmayer.

After Alan said his thank yous and farewells, we welcomed our new Lt. Governor, Neill Kovrig, who becomes the first person in his club's history to serve as a Lieutenant Governor for Kiwanis.  Neill has already shown a tremendous enthusiasm for our division and for Kiwanis in general.  Welcome aboard, Neill!
